AKKISlayer(@the-insanity-of-mojiru) will be rapping as the hardcore leader of Mad Trigger Crew, Samatoki Aohitsugi, in the English cover of “Hoodstar+” from Hypnosis Mic!

3. “Are we gonna fight? Like fist to fist or rather... lips to lips?”
You, Nikki and Yume ran onto the stage with white microphones in your hands. Your serious expressions described your immense confidence and sense of victory. You were ready for anything, but definitely not for failure that evening. Several groups have already performed before you, including i.a. Buster Bros!!! and MAD TRIGGER CREW. Their performances were good, full of emotions and at a high level. Still, it wasn’t what the audience expected. Surely three brothers and three friends raised the level of today’s performances, the fans wanted even more. Everyone needed a fire on stage.
The song was started by the youngest of you – Yume – who immediately started a personal attack towards all the rappers gathered inside the building. She touched on the sexualization of women in rap tracks, as well as injustice in modern times. Her lines have always been the most moving and always loved by female audiences (Yume was generally very popular with girls and women). You moved your head slightly at the sound of her words hitting the beat perfectly; blonde girl almost blew up the stage. Nikki was next.
She was your younger cousin on your father’s side. She was passionate not only in music, but above all in dancing, which is why she rocked slightly during rap, moving her hips and hands. While her body expressed pure playfulness, her voice seemed genuinely sweet. But don’t let that cute tone of voice fool you. Her rap parts were always the most aggressive and full of references to the past, to the injustice of the world, to hatred towards others and the government’s decisions on teenagers’ lives. Everything based on her own experiences surrounded by a sense of fear and uncertainty about the slowly coming future.
And then it’s time for you; leader, composer, the greatest mental support of the trio. Your parts have never been marked by emotions or sad memories. You focused more on yourself and your girls; praise, boasting, showing your dominance on stage was your most important goal and your best weapon. Offending people? Yeah, why not. Talking negatively about everything? Sure, you don’t care about other people’s feelings. Supporting your own group and showing the three of you as the best crew? Of course, that’s what you’re for. It was your role, your way of expressing yourself. People loved your confidence, your determination and superiority over others. No woman ever thought of gossiping about you, and no man has been able to speak negatively or about you and your girls – people respected you and sometimes feared you.
Your performance ended with the loudest applause and cheers. And it couldn’t be otherwise, and everyone knew it… Even if their fists were clenched as tightly as possible.
{ ・゚✧ }
With sunglasses on, you left the dressing room with your friends and rolled your eyes at the sight of one of your opponents.
“... Aohitsugi, long time no see. How do you feel after losing?” You giggled, nodding to Nikki and Yume. Two girls smirked and then left the huge hall. You were planning to go to the grill bar and drink something.
“You were good, but you can do it better next time.” He replied in a low tone, his tiger eyes looking at your figure.
“If I showed more you would get depressed. I prefer to spare your fragile psyche.”
“Shut up, Y/N.”
Your relation was… quite specific. You’ve known each other for years and even grew up in the same neighborhood. You were also in the same class in elementary and high school, but then your paths parted. For several years you have been meeting during street performances or rap battles organized in the city. You liked him, but nothing else. He was, after all, another pawn to knock down.
“Ouu, so scary, Mr. Hardcore.” You bit your lip between your teeth, then rested one hand on your hip. “Are we gonna fight? Like fist to fist or rather… lips to lips?” Samatoki sighed, crossing his arms. “Of course, I mean our microphones.” You liked teasing him and you knew perfectly well that he had a soft spot for you. After all, everyone in this world had a soft spot for your person.
So why not have more fun? Especially if we’re talking about Samatoki?

Kai's Thoughts on Division Leaders
Tumblr media
Ichiro Yamada
"I have a lot of respect for Ichiro, both as a person and an emcee. Despite being the youngest out of TDD, he was, without a doubt, the leader of the quartet. In our free time, he and I often liked to sit back and discuss the concept of 'music', and where we both thought that it was heading towards. His opinions were very thought-provoking, which is why I enjoyed talking with him. I always gained more knowledge each time I walked away from him."
"I haven't heard much from him nowadays. If he isn't looking after his hometown of Ikebukuro, he's taking care of his younger siblings. All by himself, I might add. He's truly a man worthy of respect."
Samatoki Aohitsugi
"Samatoki was definitely the group's most hard-hitting rapper. Though I didn't care much for his arrogant attitude and short disposition, you had to give the guy credit when it came to rapping. His lyrics and lines, I felt, always had a lot of pent-up anger beneath it, at least near the end of TDD's reign. However, that's one of the reasons I respected his rhyme flow. He said what he meant, and meant what he said. And damn anyone who had a problem with it."
"And that hasn't changed since he formed the MTC (MAD TRIGGER CREW) in Yokohama. It's a shame he and Ichiro fell out. The both of them are a lot more similar than they give themselves credit for. Both care very much for their younger siblings. It's just a shame that Samatoki didn't give any thought to that when he tried to kill Jiro and Saburo, even after Ichiro begged him not to. That's one of the reasons I don't care for him much."
Ramuda Amemura
"Ramuda was the... 'eye-candy' of the group. You know, the one that attracted the majority of the female fan-base because of his childlike appearance and mannerisms. He was definitely the most carefree member of the group. In fact, I often wondered if he ever took anything at all seriously. Despite that, he was an efficient rapper. When Jakurai informed me that Ramuda was the one who taught him to rap, I was surprised. But like I said before, you can't judge a book by its cover."
"Aside from our usual talks, I didn't have much interaction with Ramuda. He was an easygoing person, but... I don't know, it's just... something about him always made me think that he was... hiding something. Not saying that everyone doesn't have things to hide, but... for him, it was more due to the fact that the cutesy-guy act he always put on was just a facade. I caught sight of him once arguing with Jakurai near the end of TDD, and... well, let's just say, woe to anyone who does or says something to push this guy over the edge."
Jakurai Jinguji
"Jakurai was the oldest of TDD, and sort of the 'father' of the group, if that makes sense. Basically, while he wasn't the 'leader', per se, he was the one the others looked to for advice. I don't know if it was because of his appearance and age, or just the way that he carried himself. Even I had to admit that, despite only being a year older than me, even I was in marvel of some of the things that came out of this man's mouth. It's like whenever he spoke, you just had to stop and listen. I suppose that's why his lyrics are so hard to understand at times. Basically, they're not meant to be taken in in one setting; rather, you have to meditate on them. That's just my interpretation, anyway."
"Besides that, I hear that he is doing work in Shinjuku as a physician. I was shocked when I saw that he and his team, Matenro, won the first D.R.B. I was, and still am, truly happy for him."
Sasara Nurude
"You know, people have always told me I have a dry sense of humor. Everyone else could be laughing at something funny, while I'm just sitting or standing there wondering what exactly is so humorous. Maybe that's why this guy's humor is lost on me. My son is a big fan of him, but the only thing of note this guy has is his rapping skills, which I've heard during his time with Samatoki when the two of them formed the rap duo, Mad Comic Dialogue. This is just my opinion, but I find his rapping to be a lot better than his attempts at comedy."
Kuko Harai
"I don't know much about Kuko, other than the fact that he and Ichiro were, at one point, part of a rap duo called the Naughty Busters. Besides that, he apparently makes a living as a monk, which is a shock. I'm not a Buddhist, despite having lived in Japan for a long time. But even I know that Buddhist monks don't typically behave the way this young man does. If they do, then I'm glad I am a Baptist."

1155 words | rating: g | high school au, confession
Ichiro didn't have the most typical childhood, or the most typical priorities. He didn't join any clubs at school or go to karaoke with his classmates when he was invited. While other kids his age started cram school to prepare for their college entrance exams, Ichiro started picking up work at any restaurant or warehouse that would hire him.
Typical, to him, had always been overrated. He didn't need to be a typical teenager as long as he could provide for his brothers and make them proud.
But.
But maybe there was one thing he wanted. One typical high school experience that he'd read about countless times in manga and light novels, that he wanted to live out in real life.
A confession.
He'd been confessed to plenty of times before, of course. As early as middle school, and as recently as just a few months ago, in his last semester of high school. He rejected each one as gently as he could, claiming he simply didn't have time for a relationship—which was true. He really didn't think he had time for school, work, and a relationship; it was the sort of thing that would have to wait until graduation.
It was just also true that he'd never met anyone who made him want to make time.
Until Samatoki.
Samatoki had transferred into Ichiro's class near the start of their second year, and for Ichiro it was love at first sight. Samatoki was cool, he was pretty, and most importantly—
"Aohitsugi Samatoki," he'd drawled, when prompted by their teacher to introduce himself. "My little sister just transferred in too. She'll be your kouhai from now on. Treat her well, or you'll be talking to my fists."
—he was a good big brother.
Ichiro and Samatoki became fast friends after that. Their classmates often joked that they were practically made for each other. Ichiro, who put his brothers above all else. And Samatoki, who would readily die and kill for his little sister. Just on that alone, they clearly understood each other in ways no one else could.
Bit by bit, Ichiro started to think people were right. Bit by bit, he started to feel like he had been born to meet Samatoki.
When he started to think about confessing to Samatoki, about asking him out, Ichiro found himself wanting nothing more than typical. He wanted them to have, at the very least, a shot at normal.
So he started with a letter. Nothing too flowery or poetic, just a note asking Samatoki to meet him after class, on a nice day in early March, with graduation right around the corner. He slipped it into Samatoki's desk while Samatoki was in the bathroom, then spent the rest of the day with his stomach so tied up in knots that he was almost tempted to drop by the nurse's office.
But that was normal, wasn't it? Nerves. Anticipation.
Typical, of a lovesick boy who'd made up his mind to confess.
Ichiro arrived first, racing out of class as soon as they were dismissed and hurrying to the music room where he'd asked Samatoki to meet. The choir club wasn't rehearsing that day—Ichiro had checked to make sure—so they would have the room to themselves.
It wasn't long at all before Ichiro heard another pair of footsteps approaching the door. He'd only just had time to open a window, to let in a soft breeze from outside.
"Ichi…?" Samatoki stepped in and slid the door shut behind himself, arching his brows as he lifted the note he'd found in his desk. "This is your handwriting, isn't it?"
Ichiro ducked his head, smiling. He hadn't signed his name, even though he knew Samatoki usually ignored all the confession letters he got. He'd simply trusted that Samatoki would recognize this one was from him.
"Wanted to talk to you," he said, lifting his head again to meet Samatoki's gaze as he took a step forward.
Samatoki met him halfway. The corners of his eyes were ever-so-slightly crinkled, with what Ichiro had learned to recognize as a smile. "Couldn't wait for the walk home?"
Ichiro grinned and gave a little shrug. They almost always walked home together, at least part of the way. It would've been just as easy—easier, in fact—to tell Samatoki then.
But this was… cheesy, probably. Trite. Clichéd.
It was also just what Ichiro wanted, a moment of typical in their atypical lives, and what he hoped Samatoki would want as well.
"Samatoki." Ichiro paused, then shook his head. "Aohitsugi-kun."
Samatoki's brows jumped up again, and it was no wonder—they'd been on a first-name basis since practically the day they met.
But a bit of formality wasn't misplaced, was it? Not for an important moment like this.
Ichiro saw the moment it clicked for Samatoki. The surprise and confusion melted out of his eyes, replaced with a warmth that made Ichiro feel instantly at ease. It emboldened him, enough that his next words came as easy as breathing.
"I like you," Ichiro said. Plain and simple, no frills. Just a smile, earnest and from the heart, and a hope that his feelings would be received and answered in kind. "Go out with me?"
The corners of Samatoki's mouth gave an upwards twitch. If he was at all surprised, he didn't show it. And that, in turn, didn't surprise Ichiro.
For a long while now, this had only felt like a matter of time.
But Samatoki didn't answer right away. Not with his words, at least. He did take one of Ichiro's hands in his own, like he couldn't resist any longer.
"It won't be easy, you know," Samatoki said. "Being with me. It'll be at least a couple more years before I finish paying off my old man's yakuza debt."
Ichiro knew all about that. He squeezed Samatoki's hand, undeterred. "It'll go faster with us both working towards it."
"Saburo already doesn't like me," Samatoki warned.
"Saburo doesn't like anyone," Ichiro pointed out. "I asked them, though. HIm and Jiro. For their blessing. Told Nemu, too. How much I like you. But, well, she's really smart—just laughed, said she knew, and wished me luck."
Samatoki breathed a laugh and drew his thumb in a circle against Ichiro's skin. "Thought of everything, didn't you?"
"I think a lot about you," Ichiro admitted, without shame.
"And you're really okay with me?"
"Do you really need to ask?"
Samatoki huffed one more laugh, and seemed to know that was answer enough. "Well, then. Guess this is the part where I say…"
Ichiro let out a surprised little breath of his own, stumbling a half-step forward when Samatoki suddenly gave his hand a tug. But of course, Samatoki didn't let him fall. His other hand was at Ichiro's hip in an instant, steadying him, pulling him close.
"Yamada-kun," he murmured. "I'll be in your care."

Hypnosis Mic -D.R.B.- Rule the Stage (Blade Maiden vs. MAD TRIGGER CREW)
Sypnosis:
After progressing through the preliminary rounds, Blade Maiden is chosen as the representative team for Taitō Division in the D.R.B. Azusa Furukawa, leader of the group, is grateful to her friends and teammates, Fleuret Oshiro and Eldrid Iwasaki, for supporting her in this battle, of which they have no stakes.
One day, before her afternoon lessons begin, one of Azusa's senior students rushes into the dojo revealing that some of the apprentices have been attacked by members of the Katen family of Yokohama. Shocked by this news, Azusa cancels classes for the rest of the day and rushes to the hospital where her students are being cared for. She is relieved that thankfully their injuries are not life-threatening, but they will be unable to practice kendo for a month or so. Upset by this blatant and unprecedented attack, Azusa, along with Fleuret and Eldrid, head for Yokohama to have Samatoki Aohitsugi, leader of the Yokohama Division team, MAD TRIGGER CREW, and second-in-command of the Katen family, explain his actions.
After being allowed entry, Samatoki angrily explains that the attack was retribution, as some of Azusa's students had attacked members of the Katen family days earlier. Shocked by this revelation, Azusa does not believe that her students would do something like this, but Samatoki does not care if she believes him or not, as her men were still injured by her students. Before tensions can increase, Azusa states that she will leave for now in order to find out more about this. However, before leaving, she warns Samatoki that if his words turn out to be false, there will be repercussions for his and his family's actions.
The next day, Azusa asks her students if any of them have been to Yokohama or attacked the Katen family; none of them have. Seeing the sincerity in their faces and voices, the dojo instructor believes them and concludes that Samatoki was lying. However, Fleuret, who had contacted her boyfriend, Rio Mason Busujima, the night before, explains that some figures wielding kendo sticks were seen in Yokohama, a few days prior. This news worries Azusa, and she again questions her students.
A few of them, after working up the courage, reveal to their teacher that, a few days prior, after their afternoon lessons had ended, were making their way home but came across a "figure" who, strangely enough, was holding onto what looked like a Hypnosis Microphone. The students state that the figure held up the microphone and that after that, they couldn't recall what had happened next, as their memories are a blur.
Before Azusa can process this news and meditate on it, she receives a message stating that Blade Maiden will face MAD TRIGGER CREW in the next round of the D.R.B. With little choice, the Taitō Division team prepares to square off against Yokohama. Will the women of Taitō use their mic skills to "cut apart" the Yokohama team? Or will Blade Maiden's swords fail them as MTC shows them the futility of wielding blades in this day and age?

Note
hiiiii!! can i request a platonic and romantic matchup for hypmic please?
zodiac - sagittarius
mbti - istp
hobbies:
- drawing (especially doodling, my books and copies are filled with mini drawings)
- collecting coins
- collecting cute stationary
likes:
- music (vocaloid and video game music)
- video games (especially gacha and rhythm games)
- fanfics
- doing makeup at random times of the day and for no reason
- rambling to my friends
-helping others
dislikes:
- spiders (i have arachnophobia)
- having a routine/plan for things
- people who force me to open up to them/tell them my secrets
- most foods, i’m quite picky
personality:
if i had to describe myself, i’d say that i’m quite unique. i’m like the basic introvert, quiet and reserved and try to make a good impression with new people, but with old ones or my friends, i’m crazy and unpredictable. my friends describe me as someone funny who always livens things up (but they also jokingly call me mentally ill at times when i’m acting goofier than usual). i haven’t actually met many people similar to me, and not everyone gets along with my humor so i don’t have many friends. i don’t like sticking to the rules most of the time, especially when they restrict my freedom. i ramble to my friends a lot and i’m similar to the therapist friend, as even when my friends text me even one line of them not doing okay i do whatever i can to make them feel better. i’m also quite expressive, if you stared at me for 5 minutes you would be able to tell exactly what i’m doing and how i’m feeling about it.
i think i wrote a lot sorry 💀
dw! i think it's a pretty normal amount but the more info the better! enjoy!
I match you with... (platonically)
Kuko Harai!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-Mr. Rule Breaker 1 here. Decided to match you with him platonically just because he'd fit better as your friend rather than partner. He'd have a lot of fun with you to put it simply.
-The fact that you don't like rules that'll restrict your freedom means he can drag you along with him when he decides to break those rules.
-Both of you are quite expressive in your own ways and that's partly what makes the friendship strong. The fact that you guys are able to know how the other is feeling usually pretty easily.
-Truly, Kuko doesn't care how you act and doesn't try to pry on things you don't want to talk about. He just simply accepts you as his friend and lets you come to him if you need him for something.
-He'd like your collections too, always pointing at a few of the newer ones to ask where you got them or what it's supposed to be.
-Even though he can be a bit rough around the edges, he's honest and has good intentions behind his words. It'd be a chaotic friendship that's for sure.
I match you with... (romantically)
Samatoki Aohitsugi!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-Mr. Rule Breaker 2 here. Reason he's romantic though is because he'd pry but learns to be considerate enough to know when to back off. He pries because he cares and wants to make sure you're okay.
-He likes that you're expressive because even he can have a hard time reading faces or emotions so being able to know how you feel is a good plus for him. Samatoki wants to know that you're comfortable with him rather than scared out of your mind that he'll do something when he really won't.
-He kinda just lets you do your thing when you're chaotic and doesn't really go along with it too much but sometimes he also wants to have fun and I think you'd be able to bring out that side of him.
-Probably would just give you a disappointed look when you make a dumb joke but he can't help but try to cover up his laugh when you do because well, somehow you make the jokes he doesn't understand a little bit funny.

Hypnosis Mic -D.R.B.- Rule the Stage (Silent Tragedy VS MAD TRIGGER CREW)
Synopsis:
The scene begins with Reika Aichi and Sakura Kito in the latter's office discussing how their first battle in the Division Rap Battles is coming soon. When they are told that MAD TRIGGER CREW’s Samatoki Aohitsugi is standing at the entrance of the Kito-gumi base and demands to have a meeting with Sakura. After being allowed entrance he immediately confronts Sakura asking what she has done with his men. Confused, she asks him what men, and as it turns out a group of men from the Katen had been near Shizuoka before they disappeared and never reported back to Yokohama. Samatoki doesn’t believe Sakura when she tells him that she had nothing to do with men.
Meanwhile, Jyuto Iruma and Rio Mason Busujima have gone to investigate where the men are said to have disappeared. Unbeknownst to them they have wandered into Kanon Hojo's territory and she does not take kindly to them intruding. Confronting them, Kanon demands they leave or face the consequences. Not heeding her warning, Jyuto and Rio take their mics and attack. To their surprise Kanon quickly overpowers them and just as she is about to land the final blow, Samatoki arrives and stops her. It's then that Samatoki learns that his men had entered Kanon's territory and in return, they were used for her experiments.
Swearing revenge Samatoki declares war on Silent Tragedy and challenges them to a fight. Finding his reaction amusing and secretly wanting to test the strength of a former Dirty Dawg member, Kanon accepts his challenge. Now a bloodbath is set to begin between Shizuoka and Yokohama. Has Kanon finally gone in over her head or will Samatoki realize that he's gone and declared war on one of the most dangerous women in the Division Rap Battles? One who has no issue with using MAD TRIGGER CREW in her twisted experiments.

SasaSama brainrot over Double Trouble 🎶🎵

I mean… It’s not gay, is it?

This parts makes me emotional in a way I can feel but not quite explain, because the choice of words (in Japanese) is so beautiful. Like, they are not well-flourished words, they are not formal or thought-out. Samatoki says something like “duh, obviously” and the whole “MADAAA / MADAAAA” gives me Fuyu no Hanashi flashbacks and while I could make this into one of my essays, for now just have SasaSama brainrot, 100/10. 💚
